# FLIGHT SEARCH MCP FOR WINDSURF
Windsurf is now called Devin Desktop. The MCP setup is the same idea: add one remote server, and Cascade can search ~300 airlines, read fare rules, and create a checkout link.

Open the config file
In the Cascade panel, click the ... menu at the top right, then click Open MCP config file in the MCPs section. The file is ~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json on macOS and Linux, or %APPDATA%\devin\mcp_config.json on Windows. Older Windsurf installs use ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json.

Save the file and refresh the MCP list in Cascade. No API key and no headers. Sign-in is by email and a 6-digit code (OAuth).

The MCP server is free to connect and search. When you book, you pay the airline fare plus a 5% + $3 booking fee (minimum $12), shown as a separate line at checkout. A change to a booking costs $6 plus any airline fare difference.

Is Windsurf the same as Devin Desktop?
Yes. Windsurf was renamed Devin Desktop. Cascade and the MCP config work the same way, but the config file moved to the devin folder.
Why serverUrl and not url?
Windsurf and Devin Desktop use the serverUrl key for remote HTTP MCP servers.
Does Windsurf support MCP servers with OAuth?
Yes. Devin Desktop supports OAuth for its MCP transports, so you sign in with your email code and do not paste a key.
Can my team admin block it?
Yes. Team admins can control MCP servers in team settings. Ask your admin to allow flightclaw if it does not appear.
Can Cascade pay for the flight?
No. It creates a checkout link. You pay the fare plus the booking fee by card on that page.
